Editor’s Note

TheLingerieDiet recommends Phen375 weight loss pill.

Its ingredients make it an effective weight loss product – it’s like Ephedra and Phentermine in one and with all side effects of these two powerful diet pills being done away with!

bn1Phen375 is a weight-loss solution which works on three levels. It functions as an appetite suppressant. Next, it raises your metabolism so you use more energy and get rid of fat reserves.

And finally, Phen375 helps your body break down fats.

The way that this works is with its combination of 5 potent ingredients.

The first three ingredients (Dimethypentylamine Hydrochloride, Trimethylxanthine, and a Sympathomimetic Amine) work by enhancing the natural chemical messenger AMP in your body which helps regulate sugar and fat metabolism as well as creating a “full feeling”.

The ingredient Tongkat ALI is a herb from Malaysia and helps to suppress appetite by enhancing dopamine and norepinephrine neurotransmitters.

Lastly, Phen375 contains Capsaicin, or chili pepper extract. This will assist in increasing the speed of metabolism and break down fats.

bn2Phen375 incorporates everything that made Phentermine and Ephedra so effective at promoting weight loss, and has done away with all the negative side effects associated with the original diet pills.

Works both as an appetite suppressant and a fat burner!

Is Belviq The Right Choice For You?

The weight-loss drug Belviq finally became available for prescription after several years of clinical trials, but is only approved for use by people who are considered obese.

To be considered obese enough to be approved for Belviq, one must have a Body Mass Index rating of 27 to 30.

Those hoping to take Belviq(lorcaserin hydrochloride) who have a BMI less than 30 must also have a weight related condition such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes.

Belviq received its approval from the FDA in 2012, but many doctors prescribing it are also telling their patients that if they really want to lose weight, they will have to do it the old fashioned way, with diet and exercise.

Minimal Effect

Belviq patients must take the drug for at least a year to hope to lose only 3% to 3.7% of their total body weight.

Also, research suggests that after a cessation of taking Belviq, it is possible that the weight may be gained back, giving evidence to the claim that it is a “chronic” form of medication.

During one trial, patients on Belviq lost up to 5% of their body weight after taking the drug for one full year. After this trial, 25% of the patients gained back the weight they had lost by the time they had spent one year off of the drug.

The approved labeling for Belviq recommends that the drug be discontinued in patients who fail to lose 5 percent of their body weight after 12 weeks of treatment, as these patients are unlikely to achieve clinically meaningful weight loss with continued treatment.

Limitations: Belviq targets only one mechanism of losing weight

Belviq is a pill that works by activating a certain area of the brain called the serotonin 2C receptor. When activated, this receptor can make you feel full faster, so that you stop eating sooner and eat less than usual.

The Food and Drug Administration says that Belviq should be part of a weight-loss program that includes exercise and a reduced-calorie diet to lose weight and maintain weight loss long term.

Belviq is a mild appetite suppressant and hormone optimizer. Read more on different kinds of weight loss pills.

This is a pill that targets Serotonin. Serotonin is a satiety/satisfaction hormone which when absorbed by certain parts of the brain produce the feeling of “satisfaction” like that achieved after consuming food or even after having an orgasm.

So, when the serotonin receptors are activated, the body gets the message it is satisfied or full and does not need to take in more food. Your appetite is reduced and you consume less food.

In my opinion, for weight loss purposes, targeting the serotonin only is not much effective and that really shows in lots of Belviq user reviews and long term results.

There are other hormones involved like leptin, dopamine, human growth hormone. Read more why you need a comprehensive weight loss strategy.

Most fitness doctors and experts agree on the fact that for most people in America, the real issue is leptin and insulin resistance. And hunger by itself is a very complex process and there can be many factors behind it.

Seeing hunger only in the context of one hormone serotonin is not fair. That is why I believe there can never be one magical diet pill or one size fits all solution to weight loss.

So, belviq does not target the optimization of other hormones that are required to keep the weight off, like Human growth hormone, dopamine, cortisol etc. and happens to be a mild appetite suppressant.

Risks and Side Effects

Unfortunately, like many prescription drugs, Belviq runs a long list of side effects and possible risks one takes when consuming the drug regularly. If a person has diabetes and is taking Belviq, it is possible they may suffer hypoglycemia, a cough, as well as back pain caused by the drug.

The label clearly defines that Belviq may cause heart valve problems, a slowed heartbeat, or painful erections in some cases. If more is taken than prescribed, euphoria, slowed thinking, and hallucinations are said to occur due to the antidepressant attributes of the drug.

The Drug Enforcement Agency classified Belviq as a Schedule IV substance due to the drugs possible risk for dependence.

Also, other medications interact negatively with Belviq. Such medications as St. John’s Wort and Tryptophan, as well as many other medications that treat depression interact in adverse ways with Belviq.

Belviq can also cause problems with cold and migraine supplements.

Originally, Belviq was rejected by the Food and Drug Administration. This was due to a result of tumors, which came about during animal studies on the drug.

The European Medicines Agency found the drug to be so unsafe that they rejected approval of the drug, causing the manufacturer of Belviq, Arena Pharmaceuticals, to withdraw their application for the drug’s availability and use in Europe.

Keeping The Weight Off

Most weight loss drugs that are classified as a quick fix, such as Belviq or Qsymia, or other supplements, are cautioned against for those with hopes for long-term weight-loss effects. The effects from taking such drugs are usually minimal, and the side effects can sometimes even outweigh the weight-loss.

But can taking medications such as Belviq really help with keeping the weight off?

Craig Primack, MD, says that, “In a simple answer: yes. The new weight loss drugs released in the last year (such as Belviq), have now been reclassified as weight maintenance drugs. When we say “weight maintenance” over “weight loss,” it is to emphasize the fact that these drugs help us to lose weight (along with a reduced-calorie diet and increased activity) and maintain the weight lost. The currently published studies on Belviq show that, staying on the drug, you are more likely to maintain the weight lost than if you stop the drug.”

Stacy Weigman, Pharmaceutical Doctorate, comments, “Taking Belviq (lorcaserin) may help you keep weight off after you’ve lost it, although taking it isn’t a guarantee. In a large two-year study, among people who lost at least 5% of their body weight in their first year on Belviq, 68% of those who stayed on the drug maintained their weight loss in the second year, compared with only 50% of people who stopped the drug after a year.”

The Bottom Line

Overall, the old fashioned methods of diet and increased exercise are the smartest and healthiest ways to go about weight loss. Before asking your doctor for a prescription, do some research for yourself and try a series of diets and exercises to see what works and what does not.

Weight-loss pills are a great choice for some people, but they are not the right choice for everyone. And there can be several reasons why a weight loss pill might not work for you. So, a more comprehensive approach is needed to lose weight effectively.

I recommend you try Phen375 for weight loss as it targets multiple mechanisms of losing weight by including diverse ingredients in its patented formula.
